Using tree rings, three separate timelines are mapped out to a series of events from the Voyager spacecraft, to my late father’s life, and the Mariana Trench’s explorations. Three timelines have the same starting and ending years, where the events in each one signify the beginnings of the journeys and approaching the unknown. Each layer also holds images of the Voyager’s last photo of our Solar System, the last image I took of my father, and the latest imagery of the bottom of the ocean.
