This mixed media installation investigates the notion of attentiveness and awareness we pay to our environment. The discarded specimens are collected from Wave Hill botanical garden and applied with observation processes to create drawings, prints, photographs, etc., during the course of my stay. The work grows much like an organic field station with everyday activities and collections. The installation resembles a ‘nesting’ process where I am constructing a temporary ‘home’ with found discarded materials.
